Iran has installed the first offshore topside of Platform 13B of phase 13 of the supergiant South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.
Operator of the phase’s development project Payam Motamed said the 2,200-ton structure was installed in its designated spot on Wednesday, December 05, 2018.
He further said that platforms 13B and 13D were being constructed at SADRA Company’s yard, Shana wrote.
He said platform 13B was 98% complete and provided that the climate was appropriate, its delivery operation and installation would be implemented soon.
Once operational, the platform will produce 500 mcf/d (14.2 mcm/d) of natural gas from the phase, the official added.
On Oct 13, director general of Pars Oil and Gas Company said
the onshore refining facility of South Pars Phases 13 and 22-24 is ready to
process natural gas.
Mohammad Meshkinfam said the facility was ready to receive
natural gas for processing.
Meshkinfam said the production chain of the refinery
including two sweetening trains was complete.
The offshore platforms of phases 13, 14 and 22-24 were
loaded and were being prepared for installation.
He also said that installation of phase 22 platform was
under way as was that of phase 14.
The official went on to add that production of 56 mcm/day of
gas from phase 13 and 22 to 24 was envisaged for winter.
