Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) announced that the planned output of South Pars gas field in the first quarter of the current calendar year, which began on March 21, was fully realized.
According to
the company, Alireza Ebadi, the director of production control and operations
at POGC, said the instructed production of gas from the joint offshore oil
field in the first quarter of the year was realized.
He said on
average, 585 mcm/d of rich gas was being produced from the field by Iran which
shares the field with Qatar in Persian Gulf waters.
The official
also predicted that gas production from the field would reach 600 mcm/d this
calendar year given that a number of South Pars phase development projects
would come on-stream by March 2019.
