Sarv Oil & Gas Industries Development Company, assisted by Morvarid Petrochemicals Company (MPC), has developed the technical know-how of producing a Strategic Catalyst used in acetylene hydrogenation.
Qasem Kassayian, a researcher at Sarv knowledge-based company, said that indigenization of the item began in 2013 by his company, adding that the Catalyst was used in olefin units for production of ethylene.
Addressing the 16th National Congress of Chemical Engineering, Kassayian said the Catalyst, which is a Strategic product under the sanctions, was commercialized with the support of Morvarid Petrochemicals Company.
He further said the Catalyst was being consumed in a pilot plant at MPC and its performance was monitored by domestic experts.
