Production of crude oil from 6 new wells at Yaran joint Oilfield has started, bolstering the field’s productivity.
According to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Homayoon Kazemeini, operator of a project to develop South Yaran Oilfield, the wells came online before they were expected to by the 24/7 efforts of PEDEC experts and staff.
He said Iranian staff were responsible for all stages of the project including drilling of the wells and their operation, adding this had created many jobs for domestic experts and local labor.
The field is located 130 kilometers off the Iran-Iraq border.
