Pars Special Economic Energy Zone

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Assalouyeh to inaugurate the world’s most extensive aromatic complex and to attend the groundbreaking ceremonies of a joint petrochemical venture with Venezuela and refineries of four phases of South Pars gas field.

The 12th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition, the most important one in the Middle East, opened on Wednesday April 18 in Tehran.

China is going to invest in 12th Olefin phase in South Pars and Iran is looking to large world’s market in order to market its petrochemical products.

“Investments in South Pars have increased up to 38% during last year.” The Oil Minister in a news conference said: “more than $ 14/3 billion has been invested in oil industry last year which shows $1billion growth comparing the year before.”

Pakistani cabinet heading the Prime Minister approved an agreement to share gas supplies with India in Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project.

A high rank team consisting of 10 investors visited Pars Special Economic Energy Zone ( PSEEZ) and South Pars facilities.

Iranian oil minister in a meeting in the Majles, Iranian parliament, on Sunday talked about last year’s result and this year’s plans (Iranian solar year starts on 21st March).

A team consisting of five investors of Indian company Nagarjuna visited projects and plants in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ).

Since the beginning of the South Pars gas field’s 1st to 5th phase’s production until 20th of March, the end of 1385 solar year, more than 221 million barrels of gaseous liquefaction has been exported.

The 4th Methanol Plant ( Zagros Petrochemical Complex) opened in President Ahmadinejad’s presence . The project is located in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone and produce 1.65 million metric ton methanol per day.
