Three hundred and twenty five $ million has been invested in The 4th Methanol Plant during 5 years. The project has created 284 job opportunities directly and the project’s size is 15 hectares.
President Ahmadinejad accompanied by the oil minister visited The 4th Methanol Plant and talked about Iranian high potential and abilities and said:” The 4th Methanol Plant (Zagros Petrochemical Complex) is an Iranian private sector’s present to the Iranian.”
Methanol productions can be used in downstream industries such as glue and resin, different sorts of plastic, dishes, switches and sockets, kitchen equipment and photograph cameras.
The 4th Methanol Plant needs 1.488 billion cubic-meters natural gas per year and 2 million cubic meters oxygen per day which is provided by 1st, 2nd, 3rd refinery phases in South Pars.
Talking about Pars potentials Mr. Ahmadinejad added: “we should project and facilitate North Pars resources developments as soon as possible.”
The whole methanol production is 50 million tons and Iran’s share is just 1750 tons.
