ASSALUYEH – Managing-Director of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Pirouz Mousavi has announced that the facilities have been provided for the construction of hydraulic rigs in the zone.
“Investment facilities required for the construction of offshore hydraulic rigs, drilling sheet piling and have been provided,” he told a gathering aimed at attracting investment for the special zone. “In view of the growing industrial needs for offshore facilities, it is justified to construct giant maritime bases to build, install and repair maritime structures, onshore facilities and the equipment relevant to ports and shipping,” the official said. Mousavi added that 100 ha of land in west of Iran has been allotted to investment in this sector. “Those willing to invest in maritime industries can take advantage of the aforesaid lots of land to construct and install the structures required for oil and gas prospecting operations, drilling and sheet piling, flares, hydraulic rigs, ship repair and subsea water pipelines,” he said. The senior official noted that his organization is focusing its efforts on attracting domestic and foreign investment to serve infrastructural sectors. “The conditions are now conducive to launching production and industrial units specifically in the upstream oil, gas and petrochemical sectors,” he added. “Once maritime industries start operating in South Pars, it will be very easy to supply markets with our products and improve our commercial activities,” he said.
