ASSALUYEH – Pars Special Economic Energy Zone is launching “operating projects pilot” in view of better energy consumption there.
An official charged with standards and quality in the zone has said this project is under way in South Pars to serve as an example for other subsidiaries of the Oil Ministry. Mohioddin Jaafari said training courses are to be held for engineers and technical experts to learn about efficient energy consumption. “We’ll dispatch monitoring groups in the coming days in order to examine the ongoing energy consumption in the zone,” he added. He said Ira’s Fuel Conservation Organization will help establish solar coolers and water heaters in order to reduce energy consumption. He noted that more than 70 percent of the country’s natural gas consumption is spent on heating. “We have to install better equipment in order to bring down the growing energy consumption,” the official said.
