Iran LPG, Sulfur Exports Up

asaloyeh, June 05 (pseez) – Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company says Iran has raised its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and sulfur exports which is caused by eased restrictions on shipments

The high quality of exported items has brought with it wide reception for them and many countries has indicated their readiness to buy LPG from Iran," said Hamidreza Araqi in an exclusive interview with Shana.

He said all the LPG and sulfur produced by Iran are being sold in the market with a major part of them being sold overseas.

"NIGC is put high on its agenda marketing of these products," said Araqi.

He said once new phases of the supergiant south pars gas field come on-stream, Iran will be able to enhance exports of sideline products, ensuring a firmer foothold in international markets.

Iran's sulfur output grew by at least 20% in the month of Farvardin, the first month Iranian calendar beginning on March 20 through April 19, year-on-year, he said.

Iran exports 5 million tons of LPG annually which is expected to dramatically increase once new phases of south pars gas field come online.
