Hengam Petchem Plant to Boost Urea Production Capacity

The director of operations at Hengam Petrochemical Plant announced that the facility’s urea production capacity would increase by using the excess CO2 produced by the ammonia unit of the plant.

Afshin Fath Elahi said a project to increase the production capacity of the urea unit was been implemented which would boost the plant's urea output from 3,250 tons per day to 3,500 t/d.

 

He added that the boost was being carried out in coordination with the licensor of the project and, with its implementation, a total of 175 tons/day of excess CO2 would be fully consumed in the facility.
