Ilam Refinery, which runs on sour gas, supplies valued items like quality sulfur, while injecting refined gas to the national distribution network for domestic consumption.
According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Shahryar Daripour, CEO of the Refinery, said that over a billion cubic meters of gas was processed in the facility annually, adding the sour gas sweetened in the plant was consumed in the household and industrial sectors in the western provinces.
Ilam Gas Refinery is a modern gas treatment facility which offers a variety of items including pure sulfur that is exported, he added.
