National Progress Tied to Oil

ASSALUYEH – Iran owes its progress to the development of its oil industry, managing-director of Pars Oil and Gas Company has said

Mousa souri told a gathering of oil managers in Assaluyeh that South Pars was a unique treasure in the Islamic Republic.
“Nowhere else in the Islamic Iran, can one find such a gem as South Pars. In the near future, South Pars will serve as the accelerator of national economy and it will certainly empower Iran’s economy,” the official said.
“In order to reach our long-term objectives in South Pars, we have to focus our efforts on our human resources,” said souri.
He added that gas recovery from South Pars, shared between Iran and Qatar, was a priority of the oil sector. “If we want South Pars to keep producing gas we have to pay heed to human resources. Our neglect of human resources has damaged its production.”
“The current managers hear a heavy responsibility vis-à-vis the future generations. We have to act quickly in order to catch up with our rivals,” said souri.
“We have to give priority to finding effective solutions to increase our income,” he added.
